Cabinet Expands with Health and Youth Ministers

Two newly appointed ministers were sworn into the interim government on Sunday, October 26, during a ceremony held at the Office of the President, Sheetal Niwas.

President Ramchandra Paudel administered the oath of office and secrecy to Dr Sudha Sharma Gautam, the new Minister for Health and Population, and Bablu Gupta, the new Minister for Youth and Sports.

Dr Gautam is a former secretary at the Ministry of Health, while Gupta is a youth activist recognised for his role in the Gen Z movement.

With the latest appointments, the number of ministers in the current Cabinet — formed on September 12 — has reached 10. The Council of Ministers had previously been expanded on September 15 and September 22.
