Tihar Buzz Fills the Streets of Kathmandu

With Tihar just around the corner, Kathmandu’s markets have come alive with colour and excitement. Crowds of shoppers throng Ason, Bhotahity, Indra Chowk, and New Road, filling the streets with festive energy. Stalls are adorned with vibrant garlands of marigold and Makhamali (globe amaranth) flowers, while vendors display rows of oil lamps, sweets, and gift items. Preparations are in full swing as homes and shops get ready for the five-day festival of lights, colours, and joyful celebration.
