The Food Management and Trading Company (FMTC) Limited and the Federation of Woman Entrepreneurs' Associations of Nepal (FWEAN) have signed an agreement aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and facilitating the purchase and sale of goods produced by women entrepreneurs across Nepal.

FMTC’s Chief Executive Officer Ramesh Acharya and FWEAN President Shova Gyawali signed the agreement to this effect. The initiative seeks to deliver products made by women entrepreneurs to broader markets, enhance their professional skills and self-reliance, and increase their participation from the local to the international level.

Under the agreement, products produced by members of FWEAN that meet the quality standards set by the FMTC will be made available for sale through the state-owned company’s retail outlets.

FWEAN will take responsibility for ensuring product quality, weight, expiry date, and packaging. In the case of food items, necessary permits must be obtained from the concerned government authorities.

Both parties have agreed to adjust discounts based on market conditions and to jointly organize training sessions, exhibitions, and trade fairs when required.

The agreement will remain valid for two years, with the option for renewal upon mutual consent. However, it can be terminated before expiration in case of violation of terms.

Distributors are required to adhere to the FMTC’s pricing policy, and all retail prices must be publicly disclosed through the official website.

Payment for sold goods will be made every 30 days to the designated bank account. Compliance with all terms of the agreement is mandatory, and any disputes will be resolved according to prevailing laws.

The partnership is expected to promote domestic products, strengthen women’s economic empowerment, and enhance market access for women-led enterprises across Nepal.
