Voter Enrolment Drive Picks Up Pace

People thronged the District Election Office in Minbhawan, Kathmandu, Friday, October 10, to register their names on the voter list. The interim government has announced the general elections for March 5, 2026. 

The Election Commission’s decision to allow citizens to register at any election office across the country has led to a significant rise in turnout.

Citizens aged 16 and above, possessing a citizenship certificate, can complete the registration form online and visit any election office to have their photograph and fingerprints taken.

The commission has stated that voter registration will remain open until November 16.
