The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) has directed a 12-hour restriction on vehicular movement along corridor roads beside rivers in the Kathmandu Valley, effective until 6:00 am on Sunday, October 5.

In a notice issued Saturday evening, the authority urged the three district administration offices in the Valley to bar vehicles from these river corridor roads, citing a forecast of heavy to very heavy rainfall beginning late Saturday.
