The Super Krishak app has launched a new artificial intelligence (AI)-based feature, ‘Super Krishak Krishi Intelligence,’ aimed at empowering farmers with instant and reliable agricultural advice.
Traditionally, Nepali farmers have relied on agricultural offices or technical experts for information on crop diseases, weather forecasts and market prices. But limited access to timely advice has often affected their decision-making and productivity. While farmers and technicians once shared close interactions, such connections are now increasingly rare in the fields.
To bridge this gap, Super Krishak has introduced Krishi Intelligence, a chat-based system within its app that allows farmers to ask agriculture-related questions in simple Nepali or other languages. The system instantly analyzes queries and provides guidance on crop disease and pest management, weather forecasts, daily market prices, production cost analysis, cropping systems, modern farming practices, and fertilizer and irrigation schedules.
For more tailored recommendations, users can update their land details, crop type and planting dates in the app’s Krishi China section, enabling the AI to generate advice suited to their specific conditions.
According to the app developers, the new feature aims to strengthen farmers’ decision-making by ensuring access to accurate and timely information. The system is expected to make farmers self-reliant while promoting more professional farming practices.
The new feature is available in the latest version of the app.
