The Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) and the National Chamber of Exporters (NCE) of Sri Lanka have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen bilateral trade and investment ties through regular exchanges of business delegations.
According to the NCC, the recent agreement aims to expand mutual trade and investment, promote joint ventures and industrial cooperation, and create opportunities for participation in trade fairs and business forums. The MoU also calls for sharing market information and best practices to foster private-sector collaboration.
As part of the pact, NCC representatives will study Sri Lanka’s post-crisis economic recovery and explore areas where Nepali businesses can engage in investment or technology partnerships.
The signing ceremony was attended by Nepal’s Ambassador to Sri Lanka Dr. Purna Nepali, NCC President Kamalesh Kumar Agrawal, and NCE President Indra Kaushal Rajapaksa. NCC Vice President Arjun Prasad Sharma and NCE General Secretary Shiham Marikar signed the document on behalf of their respective organizations. -- RSS
