The Government of Nepal has launched revenue payment services through international card networks, allowing Nepalis abroad and foreign tourists to pay government fees digitally.

According to the Financial Comptroller General Office (FCGO), Finance Minister Rameshwar Prasad Khanal and Chief Secretary Ek Narayan Aryal inaugurated the integration of international card networks into the Revenue Management Information System (RMIS) on Thursday.

With this integration, payments through MasterCard, Visa, Alipay, and other international card networks are now accepted for services under the Department of Immigration. Tourists arriving at Tribhuvan International Airport and other entry points can already use the facility.

The FCGO said the system is designed to make revenue payments “paperless and faceless,” enabling 24/7 service delivery. It added that the initiative will enhance transparency, speed up collections, and promote Nepal’s digital economy by offering globally accessible and user-friendly services.
