Daily life across Nepal has largely returned to normalcy with the formation of a new government on Friday, leading to the lifting of curfew and prohibitory orders that had been imposed in various parts of the country following the Gen Z protests.

People have resumed their regular routines and businesses, with a visible sense of relief among the public, particularly the youth. The law and order situation has also stabilized.

Responding to the demands of the younger generation for stronger action against corruption and improved governance, a new government has been formed under the leadership of former Chief Justice Sushila Karki on Friday, September 12.

The government has been tasked with holding elections by March 5 and transferring power in line with the aspirations of the people. -- RSS
