Tribhuvan International Airport, closed since Tuesday afternoon due to thick smoke from fires set by protesters across public and private properties, will remain shut until 6:00 PM Wednesday.
Airport spokesperson Rinji Sherpa said all flights have been suspended until further notice. Emergency and medical flights, however, will continue to operate. Authorities had earlier planned to reopen the airport by 12:00 noon today.
