Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Ashok Raj Sigdel has called on protesting groups to suspend their agitation and engage in dialogue to resolve the ongoing crisis peacefully.

In a televised address on Tuesday evening, Sigdel said, “It is everyone’s shared duty to normalise the current difficult situation and safeguard the interests of the nation. Therefore, I request that protest programmes be suspended and the path of dialogue be embraced.”

He underlined that ensuring peace, security, harmony, and national unity is a collective responsibility of all citizens. Stressing that demonstrations must not endanger national and historical heritage, public or private property, civilians, or diplomatic missions, the Army Chief urged all sides to move forward together in the spirit of national pride, unity, and harmony.
