Nepali Army Appeals for Unity and Calm Amid National Unrest

The Nepali Army has called on citizens to maintain unity, harmony, and restraint during the ongoing unrest across the country, stressing its commitment to safeguarding Nepal’s sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity, and national unity.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Army said it has been closely monitoring the evolving situation in the country and is prepared to act for the protection of the nation and the Nepali people if necessary.

Expressing sorrow over the loss of lives and property during recent protests, the Army extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.

The Army reiterated that it stands firmly for the protection of Nepal and its citizens under any circumstances. It urged all sides to remain calm and exercise restraint, emphasizing the importance of national unity, social harmony, and collective efforts to overcome the current challenges.

“The Nepali Army appeals to the entire youth community and all citizens to contribute responsibly towards peace, stability, and unity in the nation,” the statement read.
