Authorities have suspended all flight operations at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, citing air safety concerns as smoke from burning government buildings and properties linked to political parties and their leaders deteriorates skies over the capital.
An official from the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal confirmed that all flights from the airport have been cancelled.
The Nepal Army has also been deployed at the airport to secure the premises.
