GenZ Demonstration: 14 Dead, over 100 Receiving Treatment

At least 14 demonstrators injured during the GenZ protest in the Kathmandu Valley have died while undergoing treatment at different hospitals, the state-owned news agency RSS confirmed.

More than 100 others wounded in the protest are currently receiving medical care at various health facilities.

According to the Trauma Centre, six demonstrators died during treatment, while 25 remain admitted, including five in critical condition. The Civil Service Hospital reported three deaths, while Kathmandu Medical College confirmed one death and is treating 19 others.

Everest Hospital is providing care to 34 injured demonstrators, with three fatalities recorded. At Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj, one person succumbed to injuries while 16 others remain under treatment.

The Ministry of Health and Population has instructed hospitals to provide free treatment to the injured, RSS reported.

Meanwhile, Home Ministry Spokesperson Ananda Kafle said details of casualties and damages from the GenZ protest are still being collected.
