Curfew Extended to Sensitive Areas in Kathmandu

The District Administration Office, Kathmandu, has imposed a curfew in sensitive areas, including the premises of the President’s and Prime Minister’s official residences.

The curfew now covers the area around Sheetal Niwas in Maharajgunj, the Vice President’s residence in Lainchaur, the Singha Durbar complex, and the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar.

Earlier, the administration had enforced a curfew until 10 PM in New Baneshwar and its surrounding areas as anti-government and anti-corruption protesters breached the barricade, clashed with the security officials and entered the federal parliament premises.
