Birgunj Dry Port Collects Rs 12.7 billion in Revenue

The Dry Port Customs Office at Sirsiya, Birgunj has collected Rs 12.7 billion in revenue in the first quarter of the current fiscal year. 

The collection is 21.25 percent of its annual revenue target.

Chief customs Officer Dhan Bahadur Baruwal said the revenue collection has decreased by Rs 250 million compared to the corresponding period last year,when Rs 13.1 billion was collected.

The office met 79.28 percent of its monthly target in the first month, mid-July to mid-August; 88.50 in the second month, mid-August to mid-September; and 90.31 percent in the third month.
