Six killed, four missing in Ramechhap landslide

At least six people were killed and four others have gone missing after a landslide buried three houses at Lekharka in Doramba Shailung Rural Municipality-3, Ramechhap on Saturday night.

The deceased have been identified as Chandika Shrestha, 30, and her 18-month-old son Ayush; Urmila Pahari, 57; Sandeep Pahari, 30; Santosh Pahari, 11; and Bigyan Pahari, 14, according to Ramechhap District Police Office.
 
Similarly, 11-year-old Anjana Shrestha was injured in the incident.

Kamala Thapa Magar, the vice chair of the rural municipality said the landslide occurred on Saturday night.

DSP Pradeep Kumar Singh at the District Police Office, Ramechhap, said that locals, personnel from Police and Nepal Army carried out the rescue works.
