1200MW Budhi Gandaki Project to Speed Up

May 9:  Government is planning of starting construction of Budhi Gandaki Hydroelectric Project in coming fiscal year along with forwarding work of Western Seti Hydroelectric Project.

In the current fiscal year, the government has completed data collection of local residents in order to provide compensation of Budhi Gandaki Hydroelectric Project which have total of 1200 MW capacity. Similarly, the government has selected consultant for detail project report of 410MW Nalsingh Gadh Hydroelectric Project.

Although the government had promised to limit load shedding to 8 hours a day this year, a general Nepali is forced to live under acute power shortage of 14 hours of load shedding a day.
