December 29: The prices of cauliflower and cabbage have decreased due to the increase in the supply of those vegetables in the market.
According to the Kalimati Fruits and Vegetables Market Development Committee, the price of local cabbage has decreased by 11%, while the price of cabbage from the Terai has dropped by 14% in a single day. Similarly, the price of local cauliflower has decreased by 12% and cauliflower produced in the Tarai by 14%.
Local cabbage is being sold at an average of Rs 40 per kg on Friday while the price of cabbage from Tarai has been fixed at Rs 30 per kg. In the previous day, the price of local cabbage was Rs 45 per kg and cabbage produced in the Terai was Rs 35 per kg.
Similarly, the committee has fixed the price of local cauliflower at Rs 35 per kg on Friday, while the price of cauliflower from the Tarai is Rs 30 per kg.

According to the committee, the supply of cauliflower and cabbage has increased compared to the previous day. On December 27, a total of 21,179 kg of cabbage was imported into the Kalimati market, while on December 28, the supply increased by 10 percent to 23,475 kg.
Similarly, the supply of cauliflower has increased by 67 percent. On December 27, a total of 43,200 kg of cauliflower entered the market, which climbed to 72,489 kg on December 28.
