August 10: The Nepal Stock Exchange(NEPSE) Index witnessed a minimal increase of 5.13 points or 0.24 percent and closed at 2066.05 on the last trading day of the week-Thursday.
The secondary market had seen a substantial rise of 41.06 points yesterday after touching down the bottom of 2000 points.
The secondary benchmark index witnessed a total turnover of Rs 2.15 billion compared to yesterday’s turnover of Rs 1.88 billion.
During today's trading, a total of 269 scrips exchanged their hands through 57,789 transactions. As many as to 5,503,021 shares were traded amounting to Rs. 2.15 billion.
The sensitive index rose by 0. 28 percent, the float index increased by 0.15 percent, and the sensitive float index grew by 0.01 percent respectively.
Soaltee Hotel Limited (SHL) recorded the highest turnover, with an impressive amount of Rs. 16.95 crores, and closed at a market price of Rs. 461.70.
Aviyan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (AVYAN) gained the highest 9.09% for the day. Meanwhile, Himalayan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (HLBSL) experienced the highest decline of 6.53%.
Five sector indices closed in red, the "Hotel and Tourism" sector registered the highest gain of 2.67% whereas the "Finance" sector lost the highest, declining by 0.39%.
