June 13: Nepal Coffee Entrepreneurs' Federation (NCEF) has decided to organize the national coffee conference and exhibition, 2080 in the federal capital, Kathmandu, from June 17 to 20.
Organizing a press conference in Kathmandu on Monday, the NCEF said that the event will be organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, and the National Tea and Coffee Development Board.
The organisers said that the exhibition is being held with the aim of promoting both domestic and foreign markets of coffee produced in Nepal. “The exhibition of the products would play a significant role for the development of this sector,” reads a press statement issued by NCEF.
National and international experts are expected to hold interaction on national policy and laws for the promotion of coffee during the conference. The conference will have participation of coffee producers, promoters, entrepreneurs and exporters, according to the Federation’s Chairman Omnath Adhikari. There will be competition in different fields of coffee and winners will be awarded, he added. -- RSS
