This Nepali airlines is known for its punctuality. The CEO is very particular about the timing especially that of the pilots. For last one decade, Captain Dhiraj had arrived at work at 9 A.M. on the dot. He had never missed a day and was never late.
Consequently, when on one particular day 9 A.M. passed without Dhiraj’s arrival, it caused a sensation. All work ceased, and the CEO himself, looking at his watch and muttering, came out into the corridor.
Finally, precisely at ten, Dhiraj showed up, clothes dusty and torn, his face scratched and bruised, his glasses bent. He limped painfully to the time clock, punched in, and said, aware that all eyes were upon him, “I tripped and rolled down and nearly killed myself as I slipped on the slippery road of Baneshwor because of rain last night.”
And the CEO said, “And to roll down just two kilometers of road it took you a whole hour?” Now go to the plane as you are and fly to Biratnager as passengers are waiting. As soon as you fly back to Kathmandu go to office and submit your resignation. -ML
