The Indian government has formally appointed ‘Ranjit Rae’ as India’s new ambassador to Nepal. India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MoEA) on Wednesday made a formal announcement about the new appointment. Rae is currently serving as India’s ambassador to Vietnam. “He is expected to take up his assignment shortly,” the Indian foreign ministry said in a statement. Rae will replace Jayanta Prasad, whose tenure will end in August.
