The government plans to launch a "Youth Startup" program aimed at empowering Gen-Z with business opportunities by fostering a supportive ecosystem and defining clear business plans.
In his presentation of the government’s policies and programmes for fiscal year 2025/26 at a joint session of the Federal Parliament, President Ramchandra Paudel emphasized the creation of employment through entrepreneurship, thereby increasing income-generating opportunities within the country.
Said Paudel, “By adopting entrepreneurship-focused education, we aim to shift from a shortage of skilled labor to more effective utilization of our workforce. This will require significant changes to the existing curriculum and teaching methods.”
The president also announced plans to introduce policy and legal provisions to resolve issues in school education while reorienting university education to focus on knowledge, research, and development.
