The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has reduced the prices of petrol, diesel, and kerosene by Rs 3 per litre, effective from Wednesday, April 16. A meeting of the Board of Directors of NOC took a decision to this effect.
With the revised rates, the price of petrol has been set at Rs 157.50 per litre for the first category, Rs 159 for the second category, and Rs 160 for the third category. Similarly, the price of diesel and kerosene has been fixed at Rs 143.50 per litre for the first category, Rs 145 for the second category, and Rs 146 for the third category.
NOC has placed Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalbari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, and Birgunj in the first category. Surkhet and Dang fall under the second category, while Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal are included in the third category.
According to the revised purchase rates received from Indian Oil Corporation, the price of petrol has decreased by Rs 3.15 per litre and diesel by Rs 2.62 per litre. NOC stated that it adjusted local prices accordingly to reflect the change in the import cost. -- RSS
