Madan Lamsal, Chairman of New Business Age Limited and Editor-in-Chief of Aarthik Abhiyan daily, has said that the NewBiz Business Women Summit and Awards program has been organized to build a foundation for entrepreneurship and equal opportunities for women.
Speaking at the inauguration of the fifth edition of the NewBiz Business Women Summit and Awards 2025, organized by New Business Age Limited, he stated that the goal of the program is to create an environment where women can move forward with dignity.
In his address, he emphasised that the event was not merely an award distribution ceremony, but a meaningful initiative aimed at promoting women’s empowerment and entrepreneurship.
"Our this effort may be small, but the purpose is deep," noted Lamsal.
He highlighted the importance of recognising and celebrating the achievements of women who are breaking barriers, leading businesses, and contributing significantly to the economic and social fabric of the nation.
"This is not just a formal program; it is a journey of promoting women's entrepreneurship. We reached every geography and circumstance across all seven provinces in an effort to spread the light of financial literacy. By honoring the determination, potential, and creativity of women entrepreneurs, we have also pledged to sow the seeds of future enterprise," said Lamsal.
Through this platform, he expressed hope that more women would be inspired to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams and become agents of change in their communities.
“Since the inception of the event in 2021, the New Business Age (NBA) has been actively organising workshops and financial awareness programmes across all seven provinces. These initiatives aim to empower individuals with essential knowledge and skills in financial literacy and entrepreneurship,” he said.
Prior to that, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s economic advisor, Yubaraj Khatiwada, and Chairman Madan Lamsal jointly inaugurated the program by lighting a traditional lamp (panas).
