September 29: Nepal Bangladesh (NB) Bank and Institute of Charted Accountants Nepal (ICAN) have entered into an agreement regarding providing loan for the higher studies of Chartered Account. Gyanendra Prasad Dhungana, CEO of NB bank and Mahesh Khanal, President of ICAN signed the agreement on this regard on September 28.
According to the agreement, the bank will provide educational loan of Rs 300,000 on subsidy rate for the students who are admitted to the last level of the CA studies. “The bank has introduced the loan arrangement in a bid to support the policy of Nepal Government and Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) of providing loan on the collateral of educational certificate,” said CEO Dhungana.
Similarly, President Khanal said that the loan will ease the students to carry out educational activities. As per the bank, the loan can be taken by keeping certificate of medium level of CA as collateral. On the same occasion, the new extension counter of NB Bank located at the building of ICAN in Satdobato, Lalitpur was also jointly inaugurated by Dhungana and Khanal.
