August 5: Jet Airways, an Indian Airline Company will be adding Kathmandu destined flights from October 2016. The company will be adding additional flights in the routes Kathmandu-Delhi and Kathmandu-Mumbai from the winter. According to the company, it will expand 21 flights to 35 flights per week on Kathmandu-Delhi and Kathmandu-Mumbai routes. Currently (during summer), the airline is conducting seven flights per week in Mumbai and 14 flights per week in Delhi.
According to the company, it used to conduct 35 flights per week in Mumbai and Delhi from Kathmandu before the last year's earthquake. The airways said that Kathmandu was the second destination in terms of international flight while starting operation in 2004. The company also informed that it has made deep inner-relation with Kathmandu in 12 long years of collaboration. The company had distributed medicines and other stuffs during the last year's earthquake besides operating flights.
