Škoda KAROQ Hits Nepali Roads

MAW Enterprises, the official distributor of Škoda cars in Nepal, has launched the Škoda KAROQ in the domestic market. Issuing a press statement, the company said that KAROQ is a completely new compact SUV from the Czech four-wheeler brand.

According to the company, KAROQ offers modern design, generous dimensions, class leading safety and intelligent connectivity features.

“The latest Škoda SUV will be available in two variants - Ambition and Ambition Plus. Both are powered by a 2.0L, 6-speed automatic transmission and turbo-charged diesel engine producing a maximum power of 105 KW and torque of 320 NM,” reads the statement.  The company said that KAROQ, which measures 4,382 mm in length, is 1,841 mm wide, and 1,624 mm high has wheelbase of 2,638 mm to give the four-wheeler a comfortable stance on the road.

According to the statement, KAROQ, which is equipped with the electrically adjustable panoramic sunroof with ‘bounce-back’ system, comes with headlamps that respond to speed changes as well as to various light and weather conditions. The SUV is also equipped with SmartLink technology which mirrors a smartphone for seamless connectivity and undistracted drive besides supporting voice command control, SD card reader, USB ports, and Bluetooth GSM telephony and audio streaming options. Furthermore, KAROQ also has cruise control and automatic rain sensing wipers. According to the company, the Ambition variant is priced at Rs 11.5 million while the Ambition Plus is available for Rs 12.5 million.
