With the launch of the LG AI DD Washing Machine, the Korean consumer electronics giant has demonstrated it’s yet another technological prowess. The AI DD builds on 20 years of advancements in LG’s groundbreaking Direct Drive motor technology and advanced artificial intelligence, which delivers both effectiveness and efficiency while washing clothes.

The latest LG machine not only detects the volume and weight of each unique laundry load but also uses AI and advanced sensors to identify fabric types in each load. Using the deep learning technology, the washer then compares this information against more than 20,000 data points related to washer usage to programme the optimal wash cycle setting for the best results, improving cleaning and extending the life of garments.
The washing machine comes with the TurboWash 360 technology which uses powerful ‘quadjets’ to surround clothes from multiple angles so detergent can penetrate deep into fabrics for a complete clean even for big loads in under 39 minutes also saving water, time and energy with 3D multi spray with inverter pump shoots jets of water in four different directions simultaneously to quickly break down tough stains.
The LG AI DD washing machine has been rated ‘A+++-50’, the EU energy rating which means the appliance is 50 percent more efficient than A+++ rated machine. This is due to LG’s inverter technology, guaranteed by a 10-year warranty, as well as controlled and monitored with the ThinQ mobile app via Wi-Fi. ThinQ is a technology developed by LG for television, refrigerators and air conditioners to monitor and use the appliances through voice control and artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
With AI DD washer, LG has introduced one of the most hygienic clothes washing systems. It comes with the LG Steam Washing System, which LG claims to eliminate 99.9 percent of allergens, such as dust mites that can cause allergy or respiratory issues. It has deep clean system especially designed for baby clothes. According to LG, the system applies intense heat of steam to effectively pre-treat any stains or dirt before washing. Also, the washing machine’s 20 minutesSteam technology refreshes clothes and reduces wrinkles and odours on them.
According to LG, the advanced vibration system makes less vibration and noise with the bigger drum size of the machine. The AI DD washing machine employs improved damper, vibration sensor and weight balancer for smooth and stable performance even in high RPMs. Besides, with the help of 100 percent stainless steel and misaligned lifter it helps to scatter clothes reducing the unbalance probability in washing and spinning. It provides even washing performance in entire clothes. With the black tempered glass door it is scratch proof, durable and comes with big metallic knob and big LED display, according to LG.
