Enhanced ESET Consumer Product Portfolio Launched

March 21: Slovak IT security brand ESET has launched four different products in the Nepali market. Cloud Link and Security Enterprises, the authorised distributor of ESET in Nepal, introduced NOD32 Antivirus, ESET Internet Security, ESET Multi Device Security and ESET Smart Security Premium amid a function held in the capital on March 21. Issuing a press statement, the company said the enhanced consumer portfolio of ESET offers high level of protection. “ESET products provide the ultimate security. The software are easier and faster to install and operate. The cloud-based scanning uses low memory providing users to use their system at ease and at full speed,” reads the statement. According to statement, the products have low impact on system resources and are renowned for high performance with best mix of detection, speed and usability.

“With ransom ware, malware attacks and cyber-threats becoming increasingly sophisticated and harmful, it is vital that consumers take appropriate steps to protect themselves with the highest levels of internet security,” says the company.  Built using three decades of progress in IT security, the flagship products provide protection beyond the dimension of the operating system, according to the statement. “The new layer of security is active before Microsoft Windows starts running and seeks any threat planted in the Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI), very often misused by cyber criminals to compromise various components of the operating system in order to gain access to a victim’s data,” informs the company. The company says that new line of security software fully embraces the internet of things (IOT) trend as it is ideal for connected households with a new feature that keeps all smart devices that connect to a home network safe at one place.
