April 30: Finance Minister Barshaman Pun said that the Third International Investment Summit-2024 was successful.

In a meeting with ambassadors, along with representatives from the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, International Monetary Fund, and United Nations Development Programme, Minister Pun reiterated that the summit was a great success.

 Highlighting participation of development partners in the investment summit, Pun argued that presence of development partners, investors, and stakeholders confirmed the success of the summit.

“The presence of representatives of various countries and development partners at the investment summit confirms Nepal as an excellent destination for investment,” the minister asserted.

In the meeting, the minister expressed commitment to further enhancing cooperation with development partners in the coming days. "Nepal is an outstanding and attractive destination for investment, and there are ample investment opportunities here in energy, tourism, information technology, agriculture, and infrastructure projects,” he added.

Pun shared that Nepal was developing capacities to transition from least developed to developing country. He highlighted significant opportunities for both domestic and foreign investment in Nepal due to its strategic location between China and India.
