NEPSE Drops 10.50 Points to Close at 2085.82

February 11: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index recorded a fall of 10.50 points or 0.50%, closing at 2085.82 points on the first trading day of the week on Sunday.

During today’s trading session, as many as 305 scrips were traded on the NEPSE through 83,877 transactions. A total of 10,571,199 shares changed hands, resulting in a total turnover of Rs 4.8 billion. Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) led the turnover amount with a total transaction of Rs 62 crores.

Samaj Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha (SAMAJ) saw the most gain at 10% and hit the positive circuit for the day. On the contrary, NIC Asia Growth Fund-2 (NICGF2) lost 10%, closing at a market price of Rs 9 per share.

In terms of sector indices, all sectors closed in the red territory except for the Development Bank Index, HydroPower Index, and Mutual Fund.

Manufacturing and Processing suffered the most loss at 2%, while Life Insurance and Investment indices each lost 0.28%. The HydroPower Index gained 0.22%, while the Mutual Fund saw a minimal gain of 0.05%.
