Price of Local Cauliflower Takes a Nosedive

December 6: The price of local cauliflower has declined sharply within a period of one month.

According to the Kalimati Fruits and Vegetables Market Development Committee, the price of cauliflower has dropped by 64 percent in one month.

According to the committee, the supply of local cauliflower has increased by 26 percent. Traders say that with the start of the cauliflower season, the supply has increased and the prices have come down as a result.

According to the committee, local cauliflower which was sold at an average price of Rs 35 per kg last month is being sold at an average price of Rs 12 per kg on Wednesday.

Last month, around 58,750 kg of local cauliflower were supplied in the Kathmandu valley, which has now reached to 74, 070 kg.
