Ncell Launches 4G Service in Jumla

August 22: Ncell Axiata Limited has launched 4G service in Jumla. The company said in a statement that it has installed three new 4G service towersincluding one each in Chandannath Municipality, Tila Rural Municipality and Tatopani Rural Municipality of Jumla. Along with this, the company said that the reach of Ncell's 4G service has reached 91.39 percent of the total population.

According to the company, areas including the district headquarters Khalanga were already benefiting from access to mobile broadband and voice services. Earlier, the company was providing basic mobile services in Jumla through V-SAT technology.

The company says that the new towers installed across the country in the last fiscal year (FY 2022/23) have contributed to the increase in access to 4G services and the expansion of services.

Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Ncell, Jabbor Kayumov, said that the company's focus is on building an effective telecommunication network to connect customers with the opportunities brought by connectivity and technology. He said that the company has made 4G a top priority. "This technology provides both quality voice and high-speed mobile broadband services," he said.

In the last fiscal year alone, Ncell said that it set up 338 new sites in different parts of the country. Similarly, the company has upgraded 4G capacity in more than 60 districts with nearly 1,450 towers.
