Shangri-la Development Bank to Organize Second Grand Cycling Rally on World Environment Day

May 31: Shangri-la Development Bank is organizing the second grand cycling on the occasion of World Environment Day on June 3.

The cycle rally titled “Shangri-la Rally 2023” will start from 7:00am on June 3. The rally will kick off in front of  Bank's Baluwatar office and will make rounds of major parts of the city.  After approximately an hour, the participants will reach Sano Gaucharan, where the rally will come to an end.

The bank is organizing the programme in collaboration with the Development Bankers Association of Nepal (DBAN). Shangri-la Development Bank had organized a cycle rally on the previous year's World Environment Day as well.

For this cycle rally program, various organizations, including Nepal Cycling Association, Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Ministry of Forests and Environment, Department of Transport Management, Nepal Traffic Police, Nepal Red Cross Society, and other institutions, have provided their cooperation.

In the previous year's rally, only the bank employees had participated. However, this time, the bank expects the participation of more than 300 cycling enthusiasts from different fields.

For the participation in the cycle rally, arrangements have been made for distributing t-shirts to all 300 participants. Additionally, among the participants, one lucky individual will also receive a bicycle as a gift from Lucky Draw, according to Mr. Apurva Prasad Joshi, Information Officer of the Bank.

Similarly, each participant in the rally will receive one sapling each as a gift. The bank has also made arrangements for online registration for participation in the cycle rally.
