'No Noticeable Effects of Cyclone Mocha in Nepal'   

May 15: Nepal witnessng a general influence of the Westerly wind and local wind. The powerful cyclone 'Mocha' that originated in the Bay of Bengal has had no noticeable effects in Nepal on Sunday, said the Weather Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.    
According to the division, the cyclone has already entered the territory of Bangladesh and Myanmar and is gradually losing its intensity.    
Partial to general changes in weather are taking place in Koshi, Karnali and Sudurapschim provinces now, but the weather is generally clear in remaining provinces on Monday.    
According to the weather forecasting bulletin published by the division, brief or light rain with thunderstorms and lightning is likely to occur in some areas of mountainous belt of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces with partial to general changes in weather in the mountainous region of the country. -- RSS
