4.3 Magnitude Earthquake Jolts Bajura   

May 11: A 4.3 magnitude earthquake hit Bajura district at 5:15 am today (Thursday). According to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Centre, Lainchaur, Kathmandu, the epicentre of the quake was located at Bichhya in Bajura district.

Bajura district and western parts of Nepal have been frequently experiencing earthquakes.

The last time Bajura district witnessed an earthquake was on May 6 when a 4.1 magnitude earthquake jolted the district.

Mountainous and hill areas of Nepal are considered to be prone to earthquake. -- RSS
