Industrialists of Nepal and Singapore agree for Joint Investment

November 10: Industrialists of Nepal and Singapore have reached an understanding to cooperate with each other for joint investment and technology promotion.

Subodh Kumar Gupta, president of the Birgunj Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who is currently in a visit to Singapore, informed that the chamber reached such understanding with their counterparts of Singapore during the official visit.

The team of industrialists led by President Gupta reached an agreement with the local entrepreneurs to promote mutual business activities and facilitate business promotion. A memorandum of understanding was signed by president Gupta from Nepal and president Chiu Boon Thong from Singapore Chamber of Commerce and Industry in this regard.

Gupta informed that they have agreed to exchange information related to business, give priority to joint investment and partnership business, arrange technical experts, and promote business visits between the two countries. 

Gupta claims that the visit of industrialists from Birgunj to Singapore and Vietnam will be effective in terms of how Nepal can benefit from the development strategy adopted by those countries.
