Remittance Inflow tops Rs 1000 Billion during Last Fiscal Year

August 18: Inflow of remittance in the country increased by 4.8 percent in the last fiscal year compared to 9.8 percent in the previous year, according to the latest report of Nepal Rastra Bank.
The Current Macroeconomic and Financial Situation Report released by the central bank on Tuesday states that the remittance inflow in the review year (FY 2021/22) was Rs  1007.31 billion
Similarly, the report further said that the number of Nepali workers taking approval for foreign employment increased significantly to 354,660 in the review year.  The number includes new workers seeking labour permits included through institutional and individual basis.
People seeking foreign employment in the previous year (FY 2020/2021) had decreased by 62.8. Meanwhile, the number of Nepali workers seeking renew entry for foreign employment increased by 198.5 percent to 282,453 in the review year. It had decreased by 46.8 percent in the previous year.
According to the NRB report, net transfer increased by 4.3 percent to Rs 1117.88 billion in the review year. Such a transfer had increased 9.1 percent in the previous year.
