Futuristic Lectro E-Cycles Launched in Nepal

August 8: The use of electric vehicles (EVs) is on the rise in Nepal. Most of the people are gradually shifting towards the use of electric vehicles rather than the ones backed by fuel engine.

Amid this backdrop, Nimbus International Company Pvt Ltd, the authorized distributor of the Lectro E- Cycles, unveiled the Versatile Lectro E-Cycles in Nepal on Sunday. The eco-friendly cycles were launched at the showroom of Lectro E-Cycle located in Pulchowk.

According to Nimbus, the e-cycles are manufactured by India’s renowned company - Hero.

The target group of Lectro is the small but increasing group of city commuters and bikers that strive to push their limits. The company said it is confident that people searching for new experiences on their bikes will enjoy riding on the Lectro, while revitalizing E-cycle.

Lectro E-Cycle is reliable with super robust structure and electrical engine, Nimbus said in a statement.

In addition, it is the only category in EV that can carry 4 times its weight that has long-lasting and durable components - BLDC Motor, Li-ion Battery, and agile frame, added the statement.

According to the company, the Lectro cycle is driven by mechanical and electric effort, while the Li-ion batteries serve as its powerhouse. The cycle is BIS certified to ensure a longer life.

“Added to the feature, Lectro is water-repellent and provides 100% dust protection with its IP67 rating.”

The statement further says that the battery may be removed and charged inside as per the convenience of the rider.

According to the company, the all-new Lectro comes with 2-years warranty, which includes lifetime warranty for battery and motors in frame.

The company claims that the E-Cycle sets a benchmark for revolution with its Mobile App feature that allows the riders to take control from Android and IOS system.

There are total of 11 models available in Nepal including Cargo cycle. The price ranges from Rs 75,900 to Rs 139,900. The battery range starts from 25km to 60km per full charge. Full battery charge duration is 5 hours to 7 hours.
