Number of Tourists in Bardiya National Park Increases

July 15: The number of visitors has been increasing at the Bardiya National Park (BNP) as this is the time when the tiger can be seen. The chances of spotting the wild cat are high during jungle safari at this time of year.
A group of German and Israeli tourists who had enjoyed a jungle safari on Tuesday were found very excited at the park gate.
Anuram Chaudhary, a nature guide at the park, said the visitors were very happy and thrilled to see tiger in course of the safari.

"This is the time when the wishes of tourists to see tiger are mostly fulfilled. The main objective of the tourists choosing a safari is to see the tiger and this wish is mostly fulfilled," Chaudhary said.
The BNP has become the choice of both domestic and foreign tourists in recent days because of the high prospects of spotting tiger.
BNP Chief Conservation Officer Bishnu Prasad Shrestha informed that the number of visitors taking safari and jungle walk in the core area of the park has multiplied. He said that more than 10,000 tourists have visited BNP till date in the current fiscal year. The number of domestic visitors has also been increasing.
"More than 10,000 visitors have toured around BNP as of mid-April of the current fiscal year 2021/22. This number of visitors is encouraging for us and we expect the number of visitors to increase further as this is the time when tigers can be seen," Shrestha added.
According to him, majority of the visitors coming to BNP are keen on seeing tiger in the wild. -- RSS
