Government Allocates Rs 9.38 Billion for Tourism Sector

May 29: The government has allocated Rs 9.38 billion for the tourism sector in the budget for the upcoming fiscal year.

Finance Minister Janardan Sharma made such announcement while presenting the budget in the federal parliament on Sunday.

The constitution has a provision for announcing budget every year on the Republic Day (May 29) one and a half months before the new fiscal year.

It may be noted that the tourism sector was the most affected by the Covid-19 pandemic for almost two years. Lately, this sector had shown some improvements with the increase in arrival of tourists.
