Government forms Task Force to Acquire Rs 33 Billion from World Bank

May 24: The Government of Nepal has formed a task force to acquire a loan of Rs 33 billion from the World Bank.

A recent meeting of the Council of Ministers decided to form the task force headed by a joint secretary at the Ministry of Finance in order to seek the loan to expand transportation and trade sectors.

Minister for Communication and Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki informed that the task force has been formed to seek US$ 275 million (approximately Rs 33 billion) from the World Bank.

Meanwhile, the cabinet meeting decided to approve a grant of Rs 86,13,00,000 from the Swiss government to re-integrate returnee migrant workers in the society.
