NTB to Operate Shuttle Bus for Tourists on Election Day

May 11: Nepal Tourism Board is preparing to operate shuttle bus service for tourists on the day of local level election on May 13.

The board issued a notice on Tuesday stating that it is preparing to provide such service to the air passengers in Kathmandu on the day of local election. The NTB believes that the service will facilitate the tourists to commute between the airport and their hotel.

The board is preparing to provide the service with the help of the tourist police and in coordination with the Nepal Tourist Vehicle Association and the Tourist Bus Association of Nepal.

The board has mentioned that it will operate a paid shuttle bus service from Tribhuvan International Airport to various hotels and from the hotels to the airport.

Accordingly, the NTB has fixed the first route that passes through airport-NAC-Hotel Annapurna-Hotel Yak & Yeti-Thamel Chowk-Lainchaur Chowk-Shankar Hotel-Ambassador Hotel.  Route 2 is via Hotel Radiation-Sangrila Hotel-Narayangopal Chowk-Maharajgunj Chowk-Hyatt Regency-Chabahil Chowk-Hotel Dwarika.

The third route is along Tinkune Chowk-Hotel Everest-Maitighar Chowk-Hotel Himalayan-Hotel Soltee-Grand Hotel and back to the airport. The per person fee for shuttle bus service has been fixed at Rs 300.
