Airline Operators Hike Price of Air Tickets

March 6: Airline operators of Nepal have increased the price of air tickets again.

The Airlines Operators Association of Nepal (AOAN) decided to increase the airfare on Saturday, two days after the Nepal Oil Corporation increased the price of petroleum products.

The state-owned oil monopoly had announced to revise the price of aviation turbine fuel from Rs 126 per litre to Rs 136 per litre.

As per the decision of the airline operators, the prices of air tickets for domestic flights have been increased from Rs 90 to Rs 540. The tickets for mountain flights from Kathmandu have been increased by Rs 340 per person.

The airfare of Kathmandu-Siamra flights have been increased the least by Rs 90 while the tickets for Biratnagar- Nepalgunj flights have been increased the most by Rs 540. The new airfare will be applicable from Sunday, March 6.

Prior to this, the AOAN had increased airfare on February 11 in coordination with the Civil Aviation Association of Nepal.
