Finance Minister in Favour of Printing Excise Duty Stickers in Nepal

January 14: Finance Minister Janardan Sharma has directed concerned authorities to print exercise-duty stickers in Nepal.

Inspecting the security printing press going to be installed at Panauti-based IT Park on Thursday, Minister Sharma asked the Security Printing Press to provide the stickers necessary for the Finance Ministry immediately.

"The Ministry needs around three billion stickers. How many machines are required to print such quantity of stickers. I request the concerned authorities to install the machines immediately by importing them," he shared.

The Finance Minister mentioned that the machine to be installed at the IT Park would print everything except currency notes.

Pointing out the need of printing the stickers, Minister Sharma expressed the belief that the printing centre would address the need for it.

The Ministry collects around Rs 100 billion revenue from exercise-duty stickers. -- RSS
