Govt Forms Committee to Probe into Chartered Flights Irregularities   

January 14: The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has formed a committee to carry out investigation into irregularities during chartered flights made for rescuing Nepali migrant workers from Gulf countries during the first and second waves of coronavirus pandemic.    

The three-member probe committee was formed on Thursday (January 13) under coordination of Joint-Secretary at the tourism ministry, Hom Prasad Luintel. Under-Secretary Tek Narayan Poudel and acting Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, Prem Nath Thakur, are the members of the committee.    

The probe committee has been asked to submit its report within 10 days. The probe committee would start its work from today (January 14), said Coordinator Luintel. -- RSS
