58th Annual Report of Auditor General Tabled in National Assembly

October 5: The 58th annual report of the Auditor General has been tabled at a meeting of the National Assembly on Monday (October 4) amid protests from the main opposition party.    
Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, on behalf of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, presented the annual report in the meeting.    
The meeting passed a proposal of sending Food Hygiene and Quality Bill-2077, Public Service Broadcasting Bill-2077, Archive Protection (first amendment) Bill-2077 and Security Printing Bill-2077 to Legislation Management Committee for clause-wise discussion.    
Earlier, NA Chairperson Ganesh Prasad Timilsina read out the letter sent from the office of the President regarding certification of bills and revocation of the ordinance related to political parties.    
The next meeting of NA has been scheduled for 2:00 pm on October 10. -- RSS
