Army Hands over 122 km Road of Karnali Corridor to Road Division

July 18: The Nepalese Army has completed 122.75 km of road under the Karnali Corridor and handed it over to the Road Division Office. The construction of the road section had started in April 2015. It has been handed over by the Army to the Planning Chief of the Hilsa-Simikot Road Division Office.

The responsibility of construction in geographically complex section was handed to the Nepalese Army. The newly built road section stretches from Khulalu of Kalikot to Salisalla of Humla district  under the Karnali Corridor, one of the national pride projects.

This road has an average width of 6 meters. The road connects Kalikot, Bajura and Humla districts. After the construction of this road, Tajakot, Adanchuli, Chankheli and Sarkegard villages of Humla, the last district to be connected to the national road network, have also been connected to the road network.
